Growth Energy Says No Ethanol Industry Support In Reid Legislation

Posted on 28 July 2010 by admin

Growth Energy is disappointed the Majority Leader did not take the opportunity to include measures in today’s energy bill

WASHINGTON, DC – (MyPRClub.com) – Growth Energy, the coalition of U.S. ethanol supporters, released the following statement after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) introduced a limited energy bill that did not include support for renewable fuels:

Growth Energy is disappointed that the Majority Leader did not take the opportunity to include measures in today’s energy bill that would support the most viable alternative to imported oil – ethanol,” said CEO Tom Buis. “Ethanol is America’s fuel. It is 59 percent cleaner than gasoline refined from oil and it can play a significant role in reducing our dependence on foreign oil, strengthening our economy and creating good paying jobs in the U.S. that can’t be outsourced-and best of all, it is here today. We don’t have to wait years for some alternative source of energy.

Growth Energy Plan

Growth Energy recently introduced a Fueling Freedom Plan which establishes a path toward building out the infrastructure necessary to make significant reductions in our nation’s addiction to foreign oil by mandating the production of flex fuel vehicles and the installation of blender pumps. By omitting these measures from the bill, the Senate is maintaining our addiction to foreign oil rather than investing in a home grown fuel that has been proven to be cleaner and more economically beneficial for our country.

“We will be working with Members of Congress to offer amendments to accomplish the policy goals that should have been adopted years ago to secure our nation’s energy independence.”

About Growth Energy

Growth Energy is a group committed to the promise of agriculture and growing America’s economy through cleaner, greener energy. Growth Energy members recognize America needs a new ethanol approach. Through smart policy reform and a proactive grassroots campaign, Growth Energy promotes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, expanding the use of ethanol in gasoline, decreasing our dependence on foreign oil, and creating American jobs at home. Life of Luxury in Baltimore Condos

Posted on 26 July 2010 by admin

The condo lifestyle combines the privacy of a home with the convenience and luxury of beautiful, well maintained surroundings and amenities. Perfect for those wishing to focus on enjoying life and leisure, a condominium is a real estate option that ticks all the right boxes for many people.

Luxury condos can be found throughout the U.S., and Baltimore condos are no different. A hive cultural activity, this thriving city on the East Coast has plenty to offer whether it’s during the subtropical summer or the cooler winter months. Breathtaking architecture that blends the old with the new and its location on the Patapsco River makes Baltimore a unique and wonderful place to call home.

Residential areas of Baltimore are found in Baltimore City (population 635,000 in 2000) and Baltimore County which surrounds the entire city and is where almost 800,000 people were living in 2000.

City living could mean residing close to work, as well as enjoying the comprehensive public transport network and close proximity to museums, galleries and restaurants. Waterfront homes can be found in areas including Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Canton, where stunning views are enjoyed from a range of upmarket condo residences.

Baltimore’s northern suburbs offer more in the way of standard homes, with leafy streets and a rich and diverse population from academics and artists to teachers and doctors. Buildings range from Colonial to contemporary in the northern suburbs such as Mayfield or Roland Park.

Living in a condominium looks like any other apartment or home of the same standard, but it’s what’s on the inside that counts! Standard services range from a round-the-clock concierge and high end security to a valet, health and fitness facilities and vacation services. Key to condo residences is offering convenience and comfort, while maintaining the privacy and autonomy of a private residence.
