The Mayor and City Council are seeking members to serve on the Historic District Commission, which consists of five members and one alternate.
Anyone interested in a position should have demonstrated special interest, specific knowledge, or professional or academic training in such fields as history, architecture, architectural history, planning, archaeology, anthropology, curation, conservation, landscape architecture, historic preservation, urban design or related disciplines.
To meet the specific requirements of the Secretary of Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards, at least two members of the Commission must possess professional or academic training in one of those fields.
